Updating for the sake of updating lol

Ever since I took over updating the homepage of remnant, I haven't really updated this page as often, so might as well since I haven't updated in a month lol. I promise I'll try to update more often. Other than remnant events, all I've really been doing is nyzul, and I feel that our group has accomplished a lot in the past months, we started around March. Since we started, we all got to floor 100, and farmed a good bit of 20, 60, 80, 100; our list is as follows:

Aragonz (War): Askar Gambieras, Askar Korazin, Askar Zucchetto, Goliard Clogs
Beaster (Rdm): Goliard clogs, Goliard Saio, Goliard Chapeau, Goliard Trews, Goliard cuffs, Denali Wristbands
Hisuke (War, Thf, Rdm): Goliard clogs, Askar Manopolas, Askar Korazin, Askar Zucchetto, Denali Wristbands
Ruganis (Sam): Askar Gambieras, Askar Manopolas, Askar Korazin, Askar Zucchetto, Denali Wristbands
Sxyme (Whm): Denali Gamashes, Denali Wristbands, Denali Jacket
Tactikz (Mnk): Goliard clogs, Goliard cuffs, Denali Bonnet

Overall a good haul, we also got gear for a few people that helped us fill in when a regular member wasn't on. We're gonna keep spamming 100 now until everyone else gets the head that they want.


Hehe finally got my goliard cuffs after spamming 60 about 14 runs.

April events

Haven't updated in a while, lots of stuff happening!

Firstly, after the new expansion came out, started to work on that right away to get the redingote as my main nuking set. Suprised me as how fast I finished it, it was really short. The story wasn't that bad, although it felt rushed, especially with the cutscenes.


My current elemental set, brings me to 332/131 with food. After testing the redingote, tier 4 nukes are about the same as genie, and am2's were slightly less, negligible tbh. Increasing my int for my elemental set, I decided to go with this and sell my genie. 2.5m {Yes, please!}.


My linkshell did Proto-Ultima, only our second attempt, we timed out of the first attempt. We didn't farm any mats this time to ensure the win, but we still had 20 mins left after we beat it this time, so maybe we'll just farm one. Moar ultima's! Our LS always does Omega, hardly get a chance to do Ultima. Drops weren't that good, got 2x hands. All in good fun though.

Our LS did Kirin recently, we finally got our numbers back up again to ensure a safe fight.

Our nyzul static climbed to 70, and on 69, we got bouncing balls rofl.


Last but not least, sandy owned 7/7 past areas this week, so a good chance to make money and spam Splitting Heirs. Got 2 mantles, and 2 sashes throughout the week, good gil ^^

Week's Update - EPIC!

Haven't posted in a while, been having so much fun in FFXI! The week that just past has been very enjoyable. Lets start last sunday in Dyna-Xarc. Usually our runs with xarc aren't that great, only producing 1 good AF, and only about 3-4 total per run. While last sunday wasn't great in quantity, it was EPIC in quality! During the run, a puller made a mistake and brought the whole train, making it almost a full wipe, but as soon as we kill the last mob, Valor Surcoat dropped! "That made the run worth it" is what we thought at the time. Monk and SCH also dropped, while still decent pieces, the SCH didn't go to a 75 SCH lol. Then the 3 minute warning came and we pulled a few mobs more than usual, THF hands dropped! I've never seen a whole alliance pass so fast, as Farlis gets them, as he burns 200+ points lol. Congratulations to both of you, very well deserved.



I've been trying to finish ToAU missions during non-event times, but not having so much luck with shout parties, as I am in the last 2 fights in the storyline. I'm trying to find a time where my LS can help me, but no rush. So while I was waiting for that I decided to do WoTG missions. To me, doing new things and doing missions are the favourite things I like doing in the game. Unlike everyone where they just {Enter Key} bomb through the CS, I actually enjoy them. CoP imo has the been storyline (so far), but ToAU is very funny and WoTG is just so EPIC. I'm also in the last 2 fights before I get to the latest one, very fun. Screenshots are below (just to show you how EPIC it is, I don't think they spoil the story if you haven't done them yet ^^).

Last night I do the hagun ENM as normal with Beaster and Ruganis, then something EPIC happens:

Week's Update

Ok, now that I calmed down after I got my petasos, I can blog again lol. I was literally speechless after I got my AF2 hat. Since joining Remnant in June 2008, this was one of my primary goals to get. When I joined, I was third in line, and no AF2 hat has dropped on Remnant yet. I guess our linkshell's luck has changed, its now one of the most dropped Xarc relic with 5 (6 BST). PLD and THF still eludes us. Where is this increased drop rate SE? Anyways, I'm very happy I got mine lol. My resists have floored since now I have 330 elemental/120 int. Thank you again Remnant.

Anyways, the purpose of this post. On tues we did Golden-Tongued Culberry (Uggalepih pendant). Beaster decided to do this event, since he wants a pendant and maybe it would be fun lol. We ended up bringing 4HQ and 4NQ. It was fun killing that tonberry, and with double ice weather in there most of the time, we brought on the pain lol. Damn NM killed me with death enough times though lol, my kiting skills suck (even though I fight puddings and trio apNW a lot lol). We ended up getting 6 pendants (lol NQ really is 50%). Congratulations to all that got it.



On wednesday me and bunch of ls members were bored, so I decided to buy lolGenbu pop items and manaburn it. Pretty easy, although I died once since Farlis damn suprised me by popping it as soon as I come back from D/C and thought they were gonna do the intial skillchain. Of course I nuke and I die. When we killed him he dropped the shield, and Beaster got it. Congratulations! This pic was taken while I was weakened. I really liked the view, click on it to open a widescreen version.

On thursday the LS did Apollyon SE to complete our Proto-Omega. Ygraine got DNC AF mat, Ytt got PLD AF mat, and Alexandarez got DRG AF mat, congratulations to you all. Then we did ZNMs, Dea and Wulgaru. LOL the pull to the tower was a massacre, it just shows the power of movement speed. We killed Dea and Daddyx got his Oracle's pigaches! Congratulations!



Then we did Wulgaru, I always thought he would be harder but it was easy. Everyone did a good job kiting (I guess Dea was a good exercise, since he has movement speed).







Woot! Now my Monk Asuran Fists just got better. Goodbye Optical hat, you had served me well lol. Once again, Thank you Remnant.

New blog; small update

Hey Everyone!

I transferred from wordpress to blogspot, since wordpress was giving me too many restrictions lol. Blogspot just gives more customization options! And I also want to add current gear on my sidebar rofl. Anyways, small update today, this is really just to test if the rss feed on TTTO works.

Last week my linkshell did Nuhn, a tier 3 ZNM. It was madd easy, just kite nuke until dead. Getting to the pop spot is harder lol, especially with a lot of people and others not gaving the runic portal for it.

After Nuhn we decided to check on Lamia No. 9 for one of our LS members, and sure enough, she was up. I found this fight harder lol, less space to kite without her hitting u, and Astral Flow is a bitch.
